Recent Jewelry Makings

Sidenote: I have made much more jewelry than this recently, but this is what I had around me and it is what I could find. :)


Since it is now Summer, I have been making a lot o' jewlery of late. This is just a fraction of what I have been making! :)


I've been doing a lot of wire hammering. It's really easy and makes the wire look really nice and flat. As you can tell, hearts are one of my favorite things to make. :)

 A single-strand gold braided wire circlet (that's a mouthful!), I plan on decorating it with royal blue beads and gold flowers (if I can find them, that is) to make it look like Eowyn's circlet from The Two Towers.

I made this bracelet yesterday. I am shamelessly proud of it. I found the silver beads with the blue crystal at JoAnn's for a little over a dollar! They are Swarovski, which are usually close to $10! I also used some tiny crystals and some seed beads I got a long time ago. It was actually pretty easy to make. :)

Vintage Inspired Jewelry and a quick update

Sorry for the lack of posts... But hey, I sorta kinda have an excuse... First, one word. SCHOOL. Lots less time to stare at the computer. ;) Second, activities start back up! Busyness. Oooh, and in other news I'm starting a drama/acting and tomorrow is the first day. Eeeep! You'll (hopefully) see a flood of posts now... I have approx. 4 gazillion projects to share with you! :) Now, on to the jewelry!

It all started about a month ago. I was at the amazingness known as the craft store and I spied some gold charms. I fell in love with them and bought them even though the price tag was a bit high... And of course I went right home and went crazy!

I love this necklace sooooooo much. ^_^ I took a chain, took it apart then strung the pearls and gold charms onto silk thread and attached them securely to the chain. And yes, it does sound easier then it was. :)

This charm bracelet was sooooooo fun to make. Very easy, too. It looks so vintagey, and I also think it looks a little steampunk. What do you think?

Elvish Bead Bracelet

I love this bracelet! Love-love-love it! I'm calling it the Elvish Bead Bracelet because the beads are so Elvish looking... They are the perfect shade of blue, with different tones, and they are so glossy! I love em! I simply stung the beads onto string then at the end I decided it needed something more so I put a Celtic knot bead on the end. Then of course I attached the clasps. :)

Oh chainmaille!

 Chainmaille, oh chainmaille, You have taken over my life, creeping out of corners, falling onto the floor, getting stuck in my finger (true story!)...

 Actually it's not that bad. But a jump ring did get stuck in my finger. (WARNING: if you dislike hearing stories of metal in fingers, don't read this story ;) ) I was holding a jump ring in my right hand and then I tipped the chair I was sitting and and my right hand roughly hit my left hand inserted the jump ring halfway into my finger. Ouch.

^That's a bracelet. Yeah, you probably could have guessed that, but I'm telling you anyway ^_^ I came up with the design when I was babysitting my brother. I was watching Star Wars with him.

Simple Elegance

 This pretty bracelet was made with freshwater pearls and some left over plastic pearls. It's simply strung on a string. :)

Chainmaille Bracelet

 This is the most time consuming chainmaille project I've done, to date. Figured out the design when I was messing around with jump rings. It took about 1 hour. Fairly easy design, but time consuming.

Key Charm Bracelet

This bracelet was made with some cheap plastic beads from Michael's, some thin threading wire, and an either silver plated or sterling silver (I forget) key charm. It was really easy to make. I may give it to a friend for her upcoming birthday. :)
